Where is Argentina ?




Climates: 




In argentina are four climates: Arid climate, Temperate climate, subtropical climate and tropical climate. 



Arid climate: 


Where does it happen?  it happen on the west latitude 
How does it happen?:

-temperature: the mean annual temperature exceed 18ºc. The humidity of the atmosphere is low. 

- precipitation: scarce (<750 mm) because there is a permanent high presssure. 


-Rivers: is not common see  rivers if there are one is  with very little water. 


-Vegetation: scarce, low and dispersed.


- Animals: reptiles, arachnids, beetles and small mammals with big ears.





















temperate climate:


Where does it happen? in the tropics.

How does it happen?

- temperature: mean temperature around 15ºc. 


- precipitation: summmer is dry, most of the precipitation take place in winter,spring and autum ( between 300 mm and 1000 mm)

- rivers: tend to carry littel water and the water level is irregular. 


- vegetation: small slism, evergreen trees, with oliver coloured leaft and round tree top. 


- animals: wide range of small to medium size animal mainly mammals. 















Subtropical climate :

Where does it happen? near to the tropics 

where does it happend?

- temperature:  the mean  temperature is  over 22ºc. 


- precipitation: scarce 


-vegetation: there are tree layers, in the 1º layer there are plant that don´t need a lot of water. in the 2º layer there are forest and in the 3º there are pine. 


- animals: animals have to adapt to the high temperatures and lack of water and food.





















tropical climate: 
 where does it happen?:rounded the ecuador  
where does it happend? 

temperature: the average temperature is 18 ° C. They don´t have winter 


precipitatión: abundant all the year


rivers: they are regular and carry a lot of water 


vejetation: Savannah, jungle, forest gallery.

animals: there are a lot of birds because in thr trees there are a lot of food and the other animals hava tu eat the food that falls from the trees.

Economic system:
Argentina has a capitalist Government. They have a free market all over the world can accumulate wealth, but there is a big gap between rich and poor. It is a social-democratic capitalism, the State intervenes to regulate. Companies have to comply with many rules which make it very difficult to create work.



Argentine Government:
La casa rosada is the headquarters of the Argentine Government there is the Presidential Office which now occupies Cristina Fernandez, is located in the neighbourhood of Montserrat, Buenos Aires; the President got his position after being the first elected President of the Argentine Republic.


The coin:
The coin of Argentina is the peso, one peso is equals to 0, 0934028588 Euros.





The Argentine stock market:
 The MERVAL is a major stock market index which tracks the performance of 
large companies based in Argentina. It is a basket weighted index. The market 
value of a stock portfolio is selected according to the market share in the 
Buenos Aires Stock Exchange, number of transactions and quotation price. 






Argentine agriculture: 


Agricultural activity is one of the fundamental pillars of the Argentine economy; the vast territory and the existing climatic variety, allow a large-scale distribution of crops. They also get lot of money exporting products to the U.S.

Argentine agriculture is mainly based on cereals such as maize, wheat, sorghum, rice and barley. Also soybean and sunflower. In Argentina we can find grapes, apples, pears, peaches and citrus. In addition to Jewish canes of sugar, cotton and some vegetables such as potato, onion, tomato, pumpkin, carrot, and garlic.


Argentine livestock

The meat of vaccine and other types of meat are some of the most important agricultural export products from Argentina. Nearly 5 million tonnes of meat produced in the country, it is the biggest global consumer of leading beef in per capita terms. Then, following in importance: chicken, pork, and lamb. Livestock is mainly grown in the provinces of Buenos Aires and Santa Fe.



  


Fish and seafood 
 fish and other sea foods are less important to the export economy, and they are not widely consumed by Argentines. Most of the 900,000 tons of fish is frozen and exported. The most important product is hake, followed by cephalopods (squid) and other molluscs and crustaceans.





Recipe: 

                              Locro

Locro is a typical dish from Argentina

ingredients: 

-> 250gr of beans 
->250gr of corn
-> 3 tomatoes
-> 1l of vegetable stock 
-> 600gr of pumpkin 
-> 2 carrots
-> 1 onion
-> 2 cloves of garlic 
-> 1 peper
-> sweet pepper 
-> broccoli
-> 200gr of beef 
-> 2 sausages 
-> 1 potato
-> a cabbage leaf 

preparation: 

Boil the beans and corn in a pot with plenty of water for 2 hours (if you have soaked them the night before the cooking time is much less, about 40 minutes, it can also be cooked in a pressure cooker) peel the pumpkin and potato and cut them into small pieces. Add  them to the beans, when they are already cookedand boil them for about 20 minutes more. Put three tablespoons of olive oil in a frying pan, add the fine cut meat and sausage sliced,when it takes colour add onion,garlic,pepper,chilli,fine cut cabbage, tomatoes,grated carrot and fine cut broccoli. let everything cook for a few minutes; add the paprika and others spices. Add this preparation to the corn and beans along with the broth. It must be well watery because it will boil for one hour and it is not good to dry.
